Our Day Centre

Although temporarily closed, Cottenham Day Centre / Lunch Club is usually a thriving membership club for local people of pensionable age meeting every Tuesday at Coolidge Gardens Community Room. Run by volunteers, we welcome members with tea and coffee and activities followed by a home-cooked two course lunch. The lockdown period has been very hard for our members as most are shielding and miss the social interaction. That said, they bring their own courage, resilience and sense of humour to the situation and they are generally OK.  When we re-open  we will once again be a friendly and welcoming place for older people in the village. Our minibus provides transport and has a hydraulic tail lift that accommodates wheelchairs and helps people who find steps difficult.
